Together with their colleagues, Mr Duong Hung Cuong, Deputy Director General at the Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI), and Dr Andreas Nicolin, Deputy Director-General at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, discussed German-Vietnamese economic relations as well as the implementation and prospects for further development of the Manager Training Programme. For the future, more industry-specific groups are planned, and the integration of cross-cutting issues such as energy efficiency or climate-neutral economy could give new impetus to the cooperation.

A highlight of the event that best illustrates the effect of the Programme was the contribution by an alumnus who successfully imports and distributes the health product “Doppelherz”.  Following the Steering Committee Meeting, the participants visited the enterprise of an alumnus, Garco10, a leading manufacturer and exporter of clothing in Vietnam.
