A Stronger Emphasis on Climate and Resource Protection
The 3rd Meeting of the German-Azerbaijani Steering Committee took place in Berlin on 9 February.
Gerlind Heckmann, Deputy Director-General at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), and Sahib Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, chaired the meeting.
They both highlighted the good cooperation and its significance for the economies of the two countries. In a survey, 86% of the Azerbaijani alumni stated that the Manager Training Programme has played an important role for their enterprises and their personal careers.
The representatives of both countries decided that industry-specific groups are to play an increasingly important role in coming years. Enterprises that make a considerable contribution to climate and resource protection are to participate to a larger extent in the Programme.
