5th Meeting of the German-Mongolian Steering Committee in Berlin
Under the positive impression of the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the Partnering in Business with Germany programme, the 5th meeting of the German-Mongolian Steering Committee took place in Berlin on 27 October 2023. Dr Andreas Nicolin, Deputy Head of Department at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, and Idesh Batkhuu, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy and Development of Mongolia, chaired the meeting.
They both emphasised the good cooperation and its importance for the economy of the two countries. The programme expands contacts between companies and offers new approaches for the further development of bilateral cooperation, said State Secretary Batkhuu.
Both sides underlined that sector-specific groups are expected to play an increasingly important role in the coming years. Companies that make a significant contribution to climate and resource protection and the diversification of supply chains should participate in the programme to a greater extent.
