Visit of Parliamentary State Secretary Stefan Rouenhoff to Vietnam: meeting with programme alumni

Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and Member of the German Bundestag Stefan Rouenhoff visited Vietnam together with a business delegation from 16 to 19 November 2025. The third session of the German-Vietnamese Joint Economic Committee, which took place in Hanoi on 17 November 2025, was one of the highlights of the visit.

Another highlight of the visit was the evening reception at the German Embassy in Hanoi with around 100 guests, including representatives of Vietnamese Ministries and of German and Vietnamese enterprises and numerous former participants of the Partnering in Business with Germany programme. The German Embassador and Parliamentary State Secretary Rouenhoff welcomed the guests. They underlined the close partnership between the two countries and the common wish to further strengthen business cooperation and thus the economic development in both Vietnam and Germany. The PG programme makes a major contribution to this.

The guests included Nguyen Thi Dieu Trinh, Deputy Director General at the Vietnamese Ministry of Finance and central point of contact in Vietnam for Partnering in Business with Germany. The reception provided an opportunity for her to meet with programme alumni in person. Her clear commitment to support the programme shows that the Vietnamese side attaches great importance to the further development of the bilateral business partnerships.
