Strategy workshop of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and the GIZ PG Team

Staff members of the division at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) which is in charge of Partnering in Business with Germany and representatives of the management team of the GIZ programme met for a two-day strategy workshop in Berlin on 24 and 25 June 2024. The focus was on the further development of the programme.

The topics discussed by the participants included the question of how Partnering in Business with Germany (PG) can in future make even better use of synergies with other programmes of the Ministry to promote foreign trade and investment. The aim is to present the services offered for German companies by Partnering in Business with Germany in an even more targeted manner and take more account of their needs when it comes to implementing the programme; to this end, Partnering in Business with Germany is to take part in events organised by chambers, expert associations and regional associations and in leading trade fairs.

The programme is opening up to new partner countries as Germany’s foreign trade and investment is diversifying. Political talks have already been held with selected countries. First personal contacts in the respective countries are planned for the second half of 2024.
