The area of ‘smart cities’ offers a wide range of opportunities including digital traffic control, energy-efficient supply networks and innovative platforms that promote cooperation and urban transformation. Chile has a growing number of technology start-ups and a high level of acceptance for new technologies. In addition, the government has put funding programmes in place to boost investments in this sector.
In this context, the Chilean entrepreneur Lorena Santana, founder and CEO of DO! Smart City, and the German company Bable Smartcity have launched a forward-looking collaboration as part of Partnering in Business with Germany. Based on a licensing agreement, Bable Smartcity exports its expertise and technologies to Chile, where a platform is being developed that brings together public institutions and local companies to make urban transformation projects more efficient.
The Chilean market offers significant opportunities for German companies to contribute their expertise in the fields of smart cities, renewable energy, artificial intelligence and sustainable technologies. Chile serves as a gateway to other markets in Latin America, enabling targeted collaborations and a transfer of knowledge that creates both economic and social benefits.
This is the first time that Bable Smartcity has worked with a partner outside the EU. This cooperation highlights the potential of international partnerships and shows how German innovations can have a global impact through strategic alliances.
