Most important business event of the year in Ukraine

The Ukrainian Employers Annual Meeting 2025 entitled “Strong Together” took place on 18 December. It is regarded as the most important business event of the year in Ukraine. More than 250 representatives of leading Ukrainian companies, government representatives and international partners came together to talk about economic recovery, investments, state support instruments and European integration. The high-ranking guests included Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and Minister of Economy Oleksii Sobolev. In her welcoming address, the Prime Minister emphasised that unity was Ukraine’s strength and that the state initiative “Made in Ukraine” will continue to be a key instrument to support domestic companies.

In spite of the challenges they are facing, Ukrainian companies are continuing to make investments, create jobs, modernise their production and develop new markets. The instrument to promote foreign trade and investment of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) entitled Partnering in Business with Germany makes an important contribution to this by supporting trade and cooperation relations between Ukraine and Germany in a targeted manner.

Strong partnership and measurable economic results

Since 2024, the Federation of Employers of Ukraine (FEU) has been playing an active role in the network of implementing partners in Ukraine and working closely together with the programme. The Federation is very interested in the cooperation and has been providing support to its member companies which wish to work together with German SMEs. All parties involved are very satisfied with what has been achieved so far. In 2025 alone, numerous contracts and declarations of intent with a total volume of close to €10 million were signed by participants of the Ukrainian programme groups

Partnering in Business with Germany has been implemented in Ukraine since 2001. There are around 1,900 Ukrainian alumni. In 2024 and 2025, Ukrainian companies from various key sectors, including mechanical engineering, the construction industry, and the food and healthcare sectors, participated in the programme. In 2026, up to 60 representatives of companies will travel to Germany in the context of the programme for business initiation purposes. Ukraine’s Ministry of Economy is the political partner of the foreign trade and investment promotion instrument. The programme is being implemented by a network of regional implementing partners.

The award is a strong expression of appreciation of the work done so far and recognises the achievements of all the partners involved in the programme. It underlines the significance of the programme as a reliable builder of bridges between German and Ukrainian companies and an effective instrument to support the economic reconstruction of Ukraine.
